Had some time to work and got the upper garrison done and redid the quarters in the lower right corner (got rid of one of the lookout spots). Gotta run out to take care of some errands and then pack for the trip tomorrow.... maybe I will get to work on the guardhouse, though that's been problematic for me forever.... can't come up with the right way to finish it. I have all the mechanisms done, the drawbridge fully functions, the portcullis is 100% operational, but I'm still stuck with how to "cap" it. I'm thinking a double tower - take it up one more level and then split it off into two towers with a walkway in the middle? Or a roof in the middle?
After that, it's finishing the courtyard - the well is started (need it so that I can lift the ground to access the cellars)..... maybe a small garden? Training ground? Horse tie offs?
And I'll be hating life in 4 hours as I wake up for my trip. I think I will have the gatehouse topped with a single tower - gonna raise it up a level above what it is now so that it towers over the adjacent roof
If we have a deadline continuation, I can attempt some sort of castle or fortification (I have known myself to run out of my light grey bricks before) whereas the deadline is before I am done with finals, that is why I got pics of my other entries earlier

With entries built for all of the other categories and nothing else to build until crazycrownieguy comes out with our next LC/WC , an extension until the end of the month would prompt me to try my hand at building a castle.
ludzik Great job on the castle, so far! You could try extending the upper floor of the gatehouse so it overhangs the portcullis and drawbridge.
Hmmm I played with overhanging the gatehouse but it was not a common practice in most castles that I visited. IF so it would have been wooden construction and for some reason rock felt better here
Anyways, I do think that I have finished it.... There are 3 different towers, underground storage (still needs to be furnished) and dungeons of sorts, stables, well, knights quarters, garrison, lords keep, study is in the tower. I should still build though the bridgehead for the drawbridge. Maybe put a small guard house there as well.
Last will be taking pictures... that's the hardest part.. or rather adding all the imagery that needs to be added to the pictures...
And just when I thought I had it finished I had to get this wild hair .... in the ear..... and rebuilt some stuff..... So now there is the manor (lower left) wizard tower (lower right) gatehouse upper left, stable, blacksmith/armorer (lower level) - barracks + guard tower (upper level) (upper right) with another stable (lower left lower level) and barracks (mid right, upper level).
Working on the interior stuff now.... that's a major PITA... ok, time to crash.. it's nearly 4AM!
and I am done from the perspective of the global challenge..... one thing though.... my fricking yellow flag went MIA! Had one and it's nowhere to be found... UGH so my story is that the stable boy washed it along with the green one and it became greenish
