Well let's try to firm up some plans a bit.
I'm bringing my winter layout, complete with tons of "redux" classic figs (ie, classic factions updated with new weapons and accessories, modern heads, AFOL-grade fortifications).
If anyone wants to build to the left or right of me, feel free to chime in. I personally have a buttload of Black Falcons and Wolfpack. Would be great if a few of the other classic factions could be represented (Forestmen, Crusaders, Black Knights are the others I consider to be the epitome of "classic").
I also think it would be awesome if we updated some of the classic sets. Here are some suggestions:

As far as the classics go I have a significant Crusaders and Black Knight collection.
Building the King's Mountain Fortress should be easy enough (assuming I figure out transport). But, I don't know if I have the materials for building the Black Knight's or Monarch's Castle. It never crossed my mind to collect black bricks! I should be able to put together an updated Battle Dragon or Sea Serpent to land a Black Knight Army.

Is this still the layout you are working with ? If so ... that little keep would be a pain in the bricks to siege! But, a beachhead to land some figs on would be great, or even just the height of the edge and I could help build it out.

Yep, that's the one. I'll take a better picture of it this weekend for planning purposes.
The keep will be replaced with one of the classic redux sets, probably the Black Falcon Fortress. I plan on adding some lowland terrain to one side, probably another 48 studs wide. This will give me room to build a wall with the Guarded Inn behind it, and then I'll have to figure out where to put the Wolfpack tower.
The water is snotted 2x2 trans dark blue bricks with baseplate + 1 plate thickness underneath to allow for slight variations in the appearance of depth (light blue near edges, regular blue toward the middle of the river).
Thru the LUG program, I'm getting about 2k more of the 2x2 trans dark blue bricks, hopefully soon, and that should provide me with enough to build out the water in front, though I'll need to do some angled plate contouring so that it's not just a straight edge at the shoreline.

2000 more of just the trans dark blue? How many total?
Spent the morning rounding up my Crusaders Knights ... found 102, but I know I have more. The only problem is I don't have the Crusader shields to match all of them. But, looking over the Black Falcons & Black Knight sets, every other set has a siege weapons. I can easily put together adult versions of them to go along with the landing craft.
I may take a run at Crusader's Mountain Fortress too.

No problemo ... I'm down in the Los Angeles area for the D23 conference and this is my first time checking in on anything Lego related! I have kid watching the house and sorting some bricks for me. Hopefully they will have made some headway by the time i get back.
How are things going for this? Look forward to seeing what you guys come up with. Especially those redux castle figs/sets if that comes to fruition.
I've been pretty lame about posting much. But, its mostly due to the ongoing GC (I have a tough time with jungle scenes). Just wrapped on a my restricted, unres is 45% done give or take. The good new with my unrestricted is that I will be able to use the boat for the collab. I also have to start a build for KC. Should be interesting!
