Is there something like a volcano in any of the Areas? Or is it possible to discover the first western island with the volcano for a specific fraction? I like the idea of heaving a forge where i dont habe to care about enough heat. When it is not possible I probably just need to dig deep enough? Or is there some information about the core of the world?
In the Western Isles, there are large volcanos on two islands on the map. One is on the farthest western island, which is called Fyrdraca. Fyrdraca has been claimed by Lenfald and partially colonized. That's also where the fighting in the last storyline updates and current GC is going on.
The other volcanic island is the furthest southeast one. That one has not been claimed by any faction. You could explore it if you wished, but you wouldn't be able to build structures there unless your faction claimed it at some point, (which is possible).
If you're wondering about the mainland, there aren't any volcanoes on the map in Roawia proper, but things are more flexible as the map is a larger scale, (so most single mountains won't show up on the map). Players are allowed to invent geological features for their storylines as long as they fit with the general description and climate, (so no scorching deserts in Garheim for example), and they don't contradict the map (so nothing so large it would appear there, like an entire mountain range). All that to say you can invent a smaller volcano in a place that would be logical and fit existing information. I'd say the Outlaw lands or any of the mountain ranges could have one.
I don't think anyone has written anything whatsoever on the Roawian planet's interior, core, or geology. As far as I know, all those details are assumed to be identical to Earth, so you can just base such details on anything that is possible in the real world.
Anyway LoR is pretty flexible within the limits set by the maps and the Global Storyline. Don't hesitate to ask if you're not sure.
