Does anyone have any insights or inside info as to why the custom minifigure lines do not have printing on both sides of their torso? All other lego lines since around 2011 print on both sides, why not custom minifigs? It hits me as odd, plus slightly disappointing to a very small degree. On another note, my last bricklink order just came in
I meant collectible minifigs, sorry. But yeah, I was looking at a more recent purchase of a bunch of minifigs, and I started noticing some of the nicer ones also didn't have any design on the back. It is odd, as one is the rather recent female elf. While the torso print is very intricate and detailed, it is only one-sided. And a few other collectible minifig pieces were likewise.

I scanned through a few CMF reviews and noticed that you're right, a vast majority of the figs don't have back printing. I guess the counter to that would be that the CMF's seem to (at least lately) have a higher percentage of uncommon printed parts, such as arms and legs, and a lot more overmolding of arms/legs as well, which is spendy to produce.
